What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a hands-on manual form of therapy that emphasizes the relationship between structure (anatomy) and function (physiology) of the human body. The assessment and treatment concentrate on the way the body works as a whole not as a group of separate parts.

This therapy follows a belief in the body's ability to self-repair and self-heal. Osteopathic approach is used to restore mobility and symmetry to the human body by addressing the root cause of health concern, and not by treating the symptoms. The goal of an osteopathic practitioner is the help the patient to return to health by removing restrictions found in the soft and hard tissues.
