Dr. Tamara Holowka - Chiropractor
Dr. Tamara Holowka a lifelong resident of Mississauga. She graduated from University of Toronto with a Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology and received her Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa in 1998.
Dr. Tamara is dedicated to promoting wellness in her general practice, treating patients of all ages and conditions. She has centered her practice to educate, inspire and encourage enduring health for her patients. She is passionate about treating the cause and not just the symptoms.
With active daughters in skating, dance, skiing and running, chiropractic has played a vital role in their athletic performance and their ability to heal from injury and return to training and competition quickly.
Outside the clinic Dr. Holowka can be found volunteering her time with several organizations. Her other interests include travel and an active lifestyle. She can be found enjoying cottage time and the outdoors with her family – skiing, hiking, and water sports.
Dr. Lori Watson - Chiropractor
Dr. Lori Watson attended the University of Waterloo and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours Kinesiology in 1999. Upon completion of her degree she managed 3 fitness clubs in the Kitchener-Waterloo area specializing in group fitness classes, personal training and nutritional counselling. Lori's mission, to make a profound and positive difference in peoples lives, led her to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she graduated Cum Laude and with Clinic Honours in 2008.
Dr. Lori enjoys her work immmensely and has had this to say about chiropractic- "more and more people are choosing chiropractic care because they want a natural approach to health and to avoid addictive drugs or irreversible surgery." It is her aim to alleviate pain, restore health, and give advice on posture, nutrition and appropriate exercises to help lead a healthy, active lifestyle.
In her spare time Dr. Lori Watson enjoys weight training, golfing, cooking, listening to music and watching movies.
Wen Gan - Registered Acupuncturist, R.A
Wen Gan has practiced in both China and Canada. She is a certified and licensed Acupuncturist, and a member of the Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture(CSCMA). After she received her Masters degree in Canada, she went back to China and majored in "Acupuncture and Moxibustion" in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After graduation, she worked in Shanghai JinAn Hospital and then came back to Canada. Wen has been part of the office for several years, and believes in educating her clients. She feels that if her clients have the knowledge in their hands, they can start facilitating the healing process and become more in tune with their bodies.
Nijay Shah - Registered Massage Therapist, R.M.T.
With a keen interest in massage therapy and helping others, Nijay took advantage of an opportunity to make a career change, and graduated from Bryan College and became registered in 2012. Nijay incorporates Sweedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial and Joint Mobilization techniques for an effective treatment plan. Nijay has worked with clients of all ages and varying abilities, including seniors, expectant mothers, athletes and business professionals. Whether for general relaxation or to address a specific issue, his goal is to work with and educate his clients, designing each session to meet their needs most effectively and provide a comfortable experience.
Steven Phung - Resident Physiotherapist
Steven Phung has obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at D’youville College and Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Kinesiology at York University. While attending school in the United states for his Doctorate, he was exposed to a wide range of manual therapy techniques including but not limited to cupping, Graston, and taping. Steven has experience practicing both in the United States and in Canada. After his undergraduate studies, Steven worked as a physical therapist assistant and a personal trainer, where he specialized in exercises for client rehabilitation. With an in depth knowledge in exercise and manual therapy, he actively utilizes these set of skills to help his clients achieve their optimal outcomes.
Ashley Sanders - Registered Kinesiologist R.Kin.
